                SILVER, WIRED, ORGANZA WEDDING RIBBON
                CRAFT MIRROR FROM HOBBY LOBBY
COPPER FOIL TAPE FOR EDGING THE MIRROR WITH

*SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS / ALTERATIONS:
1.    When using craft mirrors, always cover the edges with a protective coating of some sort to  prevent cuts and help minimize breakage. I personally prefer to use the metal foil tape that is used for edging cut glass when doing stained glass projects. I have found this works exceptionally well and looks great when burnished. It can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or any of your craft stores.

2.    I used the Spellbinder’s Petite Oval die to cut an oval center in the middle of ‘Fiona’s Magic Window’. Over-laid the mirror with it and embellished the oval edge with tiny pearls to give it a much more finished edge.

3.   The white lace was a strip about 3”- 4” long that I gathered on a piece of jewelry making wire. Makes a great embellishment!  And so simple to do.

*SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS / ALTERATIONS:
1.   Cut four (4) of the Cheery Lynn Window ‘A’ from white cardstock & four (4) of the
Lifestyle Crafts Scalloped Circles from peach cardstock. Set peach cutouts aside. I placed the largest of the Scalloped Circles Die *Cutter* over the white Window ‘A’ cut-out, allowing for a small border, and cut that out. Then I backed the die-cut with the peach cut-outs, matching up my scallops, and trimmed off the panes & everything below the arched portion of the window. Glued them together and positioned them to form a frame and added Mr. Buddy to the center. He is so sweet in this picture.

2.   I made my flowers from the scraps of the paper I used so it would match.

3.  My dear Buddy… I know you are the manly kind and peachy-pink would not have been your choice; but these paper colors just matched your photo so beautifully, I figured you wouldn’t mind just this one time. J

1.   I cut two (2) of Window A, cut off the bottom portions and then used the smallest of the Grand Scalloped Ovals to cut the scalloped edge above the Windows. Then I glued them together to form a doily that is slightly oval shaped.  I covered the seam with the narrow pink satin ribbon and backed it with green textured cardstock.

2.   The peach organza flower I made by pulling the wire on one edge of the ribbon, causing it to gather. Rolled it in the shape of a rose and glued it down.

3.   The three small pink roses are nestled in the relief shapes left when I cut out the Nellie Snellen Jumbo Flower punch petals for another card. The relief shapes look like hearts and I hated to waste them, so I designed the card around it.

IMPRESSION OBSESSION #CC-101            Pine Trees Cover-a-Card Stamp

OTHER  MATERIALS:

                BLACK & WHITE CRICUT CARDSTOCK
BLACK SATIN RIBBON 1/16” (For inside trim around the Windows)
WHITE & LAVENDER RIBBON (For under the edge of Roofs)
                3-D  DOTS
GALLERY GLASS PAINTS (5 different colors)
2 CLEAR CELLO BAGS LIKE I STORE MY CARDS IN (A stiff, clear plastic (such as the Spellbinder’s packages provide) nets a better window pane effect but proved to be a tad too thick for this particular layout and application. So I settled for the clear bags instead.

*SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS / ALTERATIONS:
*This window looked like a Cathedral door to me, so I chose to use it as such.

1.            I cut two (2) of the windows out of the textured white Cricut paper; leaving plenty of room around the edges for trimming purposes (for the inside of the card).  I then scored & folded my card 12” x 6” cardstock so that I had two 3” front flaps and cut a window out of each flap.

2.            I cut the clear bag into two (2) pieces and taped them to a glass cutting mat so they remained taut and smooth. And taping it to a glass mat also allowed me to see the other side of the gallery glass designs. Then I played artist with the Gallery Glass paint and mingled all the colors, set aside and let dry over-night. Once dry, I cut another bag into two (2) pieces and placed them on top, glued the sandwiches together and trimmed them to fit the front flaps of the card.

3.            I then glued the stained glass units to the inside of the flaps and overlaid them with the other two windows. Trimmed out in black satin ribbon to give the edges a finished look and VOILA… we now have stained glass doors. J

4.            I used Black Tuxedo ink and a dauber to shade the doves and roof for a little added interest and dimension.

5.            The inside center is just a piece of mottled lavender paper (not cardstock). I had to keep the thickness down to a minimum. I stamped it with the Pine Trees stamp once for the dark trees and then with what ink was left on the stamp, I stamped it another time or two giving the effect of lots of pine trees in the background. Worked out really great.  Everything else is fairly self-explanatory.

My sincere apologies for the side views of this card. I am having technical difficulties with photo rotation.  I will have it corrected just as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Patricia

They always look nice on the blogs but she brings them to life when she shows them up close & personal with the videos... I loved what you did so much I had to order the whole set myself.
