layered them and then trimmed them.

1. I
hand tore the brown Kraft paper cardstock for the background for my letters.
2. I took a plain sheet of printed fall leaves
and cut it into different sizes of rectangles , allowing space between each one,
in order to form the background into panes of fall colors.
3. I threaded tan raffia around my little twigs
and through the hole in the charms.
4. I used the punched out leaves from the
border punch to sprinkle around on the card.
5.
I cut 2 3/8” strips of the brown cardstock to form the wings on
the house. Then used the “Garden Trellis” Deep Edge border punch to make my wings look like a
fence. Attached little strips of wood to
the back of the outer edge of each fence for posts.
6. Everything else is pretty much

1. I cut several of the ‘Leafy Branches’ from
the same Brown cardstock I used for the ‘Branch Tree’ and randomly attached
them to the tree to form the canopy of leaves. Then I cut the same number of
‘Leafy Branches’ from Green cardstock, clipped off the leaves and put them over
the brown leaves to create the tree’s green leafy foliage.
2. The only other alterations I made were to
shorten my little Victorian Lady and the Lamp Post. She was a bit too tall to look proportionate
to the house so I cut off her feet, hemmed her dress and put her feet back on. The
Lamp Post only needed a small amount taken off the bottom of it because the
front fold of the card raised it too high.
3. Everything else is pretty much
self-explanatory.

This next project is an electrically lit Christmas House that was inspired by one of my Dutch Paper Craft's design team sisters, Petra Manenschijn, from Holland. Her Tea Light Christmas Candle was truly inspirational and she graciously allowed me to expand upon her idea and this is the result. Thank you, Petra! Oma Pat

YELLOW LIQUID PEARLS (For center

GREEN RHINESTONES (For center of
the Poinsettias on the inside corners)
*SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS / ALTERATIONS:
1. I cut a 5 1/8” x 5/8” thick, square of
wood. Mounted it in the center of a wooden plaque with screws in each corner.
Drilled a 1” hole through the two layers of wood and secured the light socket
in place so that the rim of the socket was flush with the wood surface. Then
screwed in light bulb. This way you can change out the bulbs with ease or
simply use a votive candle instead of the electric light.
2. I cut eight (8) of the houses. (Four from
the foil side and four from the white side.) I glued white vellum to the back
side of four of the houses and then glued the white sides together, giving me
four (4) doubled sided gold houses with vellum windows. (One house for each
side of the 5 1/8” square block of wood, thus forming the walls of my square
Christmas House. I repeated this
process (with the exception of the Vellum) with the Green Foil to make the background
trees. Only I used ten (10) trees, five green and five in the gold to net me
five (5) double sided Foil Christmas Trees. Green on one side and gold on the
other.
3. I punched holes in each corner of the
roofs, threaded red ribbon through them and then tied a knot, binding them
together for added stiffness and stability. Wrapped the roof top with the
sparkly red and gold crochet thread and then placed a poinsettia at each
corner.
4. I hot glued my animals and embellishments
to suit. My kitten was glued to the rug I made with the Petra’s Small Oval Die
Set and I took some Christmas Red Foil Embroidery Thread and tangled it around
his wee little back paws. Stickled his play toy with Christmas Red Stickles to
make it look like a ball of yarn. And boy is he having a good time! J
5. If you have any questions, please email me
for further directions and I will be glad to expand on any aspect of this
project.
